Deep insight and extended research on how the four basic human drives in evolutionary psychology can be leveraged to enhance and upscale employee engagement within an organization.
Description: As we step foot into the new normal, a plethora of organizational transformations are in line. Some of the greatest challenges pertaining to organizational development and employee engagement include creating meaningful employee experiences, connecting people across the organization, sustainable rewards & recognition practices, and tackling burnout amongst employees in the hybrid work culture that has arisen in the modern era.
To determine the best courses of action going ahead, we can take inspiration from evolutionary psychology, one of many biologically informed approaches to the study of human behavior. Leveraging behavioral science theories to enhance and uplift employee engagement and R&R practices is the most innovative people-centric solution in this VUCA world. In this paper, we evaluate these inner evolutionary mechanisms, particularly the four-drive theory, and how it can best be leveraged to positively influence and elevate R&R practices and subsequent employee engagement in an organization.
